Getting There

Chinchón is 45 kilometres to the south of Madrid on the road M311, between the motorways to Valencia (A3) and Córdoba (A4).

From Barajas (Madrid) airport follow the signs for the M40 SUR and the A3 Valencia. You leave the M40 at junction 15b — signposted A3 Valencia. You then follow the A3 until junction 21, signposted Chinchón and Morata de Tajuña. You follow this road (the M832) for approximately 4 kilometres until you arrive at a roundabout. Here you take the second exit and follow the M311. Carry straight on. The road climbs up a hill and you will pass a cement factory on your left. Follow the road until you arrive at a T-junction where you turn left. After a further 500 metres you take a right turn, signposted Chinchón. This road (still the M311) will take you all the way to Chinchón (about 13 kilometres more) taking you up through the hills to the village.

Parking in Chinchón

There are various outdoor public car parks in Chinchón. The closest can be found in Calle de San Esteban Alta. You can find it at Via Michelin or Google Maps.

How to get to the car park from the A3 (Madrid—Valencia)

As you approach the village of Chinchón, you will arrive at a roundabout. Enter the intersection and take the first exit on the roundabout. Follow the road for about 600 meters until you arrive at a second roundabout. Take the fouth exit, in effect making a U turn. At 500 meters you will see a sign «aparcamiento casco histórico». Follow the signs until you reach the car park. Hotel Casa de la Marquesa is a 5–10 minute walk from the there. Follow the signs to the Plaza Mayor. Calle Morata begins at the restaurant «La Balconada» which is situated on the plaza.

How to get to the car park from the A4 (Madrid—Aranjuez)

As you approach the village of Chinchón, you will arrive at a roundabout. Take the third exit on the roundabout and follow the road for 500 meters where you will see a sign «aparcamiento casco histórico». Follow the signs until you reach the car park. Hotel Casa de la Marquesa is a 5–10 minute walk from the car park. Follow the signs to the Plaza Mayor. Calle Morata begins at the restaurant «La Balconada» which is situated on the plaza.
