Casa de la Marquesa prides itself on supporting artists (both local and from further afield) and makes exhibition space available. In addition to the works of art in each of the bedrooms, we currently show paintings of the artist Anemi Moolhuijsen:
Recent Work
This exhibition of recent work presents a new creative cycle in the work of Dutch artist Anemi Moolhuijsen. She takes up several themes which have been developed from very personal reflections of certain aspects of Greco-roman classical mythology. The artist also creates characters linked to her great interest in the theme of the carnival, particularly in dance and the mask. As always, her work reveals her great interest in colour and portraiture, with a special interest in women. Casa de la Marquesa will exhibit around 20 paintings in diverse formats. All works are acrylic on canvas and were painted throughout 2007.
